MISSIONS

DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN MISSIONS

At Church of Living Waters, we embrace the spirit of servanthood and generosity in very practical ways. Our foreign missions effort has included contributions to projects in Liberia, Uganda, the Philippines, India, Dominica, and other islands of the Caribbean. Our Domestic Missions include Our Hope Center, a community resource center,  a transitional housing facility, partnerships with several area homeless shelters, and a senior citizen facility. Our members are constantly at work, sharing the love of Christ through practical acts of kindness!

GLOBAL HUMANITARIAN OUTREACH

This program is designed to offer direct responses to humanitarian crises across the globe such as natural disasters, pandemics, chronic poverty, among others. GHO has provided humanitarian relief to Dominica after Hurricane Maria in 2017, St. Vincent following the volcano eruption in 2021, and India in 2021.

MISSION DOMINICA

Since 2010, Church of Living Waters has conducted a number of mission trips on the island of Dominica to bring the Gospel to hundreds of people and share the love of Christ through acts of kindness. We have sponsored school feeding programs, donated supplies and equipment to medical facilities, provided aid for disaster relief, conducted leadership training for local pastors, and provided much-needed school supplies to students in need.

THANKSGIVING OUTREACH

The Thanksgiving Outreach program feeds approximately 1000 people in the Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia area each year. Traditionally, three homeless shelters are provided with ready-to-eat packaged meals, and dinner is also served on location at the church. In 2020, due to COVID-19, a Thanksgiving Drive-thru Outreach was held where hams, turkeys, and other food essentials were distributed.
